About Your Host

Ken and Corrie Brough’s primary goal is to share with others one of the most special destinations in all of Alaska. Corrie is a wonderful cook and will make sure you are well-fed and comfortable during your stay. As the mother of seven children, she knows how to please a crowd. Ken has been an avid outdoors man since he was young. Growing up in the Rocky Mountains, he has spent his life hunting, fishing, and overall enjoying the outdoors in both Alaska and the Rockies. Having been on many hunting and fishing trips himself, he knows what you expect when you book a trip to Alaska. Ken will make sure you are well taken care of and have a memorable experience.

Ken began fishing the streams and ocean waters of Alaska back in the 1980’s. After numerous sight-seeing, fishing and hunting trips to many parts of the Last Frontier, the Broughs discovered Prince of Wales Island and Whale Pass in 2004. An avid outdoors man, Ken immediately knew they had found a very special place and the Broughs bought property. The Island and Whale Pass had it all! Amazing scenery, fantastic hunting options, diverse marine life, and the best combination of ocean and stream fishing Ken had experienced. A place you can fish a variety of streams for multiple species with a fly pole or spin cast, catch an early run of coho salmon from the shoreline of the bay or from a skiff as early as mid June, and hook into abundant halibut in protected waters. And do it all in the same day if you choose to! We welcome you to come and share our discovery and a little bit of paradise.
